China Labor Economy Database, with its source from National Bureau of Statistics and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, reflects China’s labor economy.
It covers the labor and employment-related statistics in 31 mainland provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Indicators include employment and unemployment, employed people and total wage bill in urban entities, employed people and total wage bill in state-owned entities, employed people and total wage bill in urban collective entities, employed people and total wage bill in other entities, employed people in town and township enterprises, vocational training, skills appraisal, labor relations, social security, union operation and general employment in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. This database demonstrates the scale, level and velocity of the development of China’s labor economy, and with such demonstration we hope it can help with the formulation and implementation of national labor-related policies and macro control, and facilitate the decision-makers in administrative authorities and enterprises to improve their strategy, management and competency. Data start from 1952 with yearly update.
